Hybrid Skipper F1 was grown in the second rotation in a block greenhouse.

Cucumber seedlings Skipper F1 were grown in an unheated nursery. The temperature difference exceeded the norm by more than 10 degrees. Day - 30˚С, night - 12 - 14˚С. Under such a temperature regime, they were forced to stimulate the growth of the root system by combining mineral fertilizers and a root system growth stimulator. The concentration of the nutrient solution in this case was: EU - 1.6, pH - 6.5. All irrigation of seedlings was carried out with nutrient solutions (not a single irrigation with clean water). This combination was carried out twice as often as when growing seedlings at an earlier time. As a result, when the seedlings reached the 4th true leaf, we carried out 4 top dressings with the addition of a root system stimulator. The root system of plants, to this, has already braided the entire lump of soil in the cassette.
Planting seedlings was carried out in the phase of the 4th true leaf, 09/14/2018.
Landing pattern 0.4 x 1.2. Landing was carried out in a single row, as the daylight hours were on the wane. Therefore, a decision was made on such a landing system. Fertilizer was applied before planting. All calculations for filling the soil with fertilizers are made based on the results of agrochemical analysis, as well as taking into account the removal of nutrients by the crop that will be grown in this place.
The influence of low night temperatures still had an effect on the plants. The plants were with shortened internodes. But, as it turned out, in the future this allowed us to get more greens with a rather small growth of plants.
After planting the plants in a permanent place, watering was carried out using a drip system.
The complexity of growing plants in our region is related to the peculiarities of our climate. In the second revolution, daytime temperatures can reach +30 and above, and nighttime temperatures can be very low, down to zero. This has a very negative effect on the growth and development of plants, and if we are talking about cucumber culture, then this is generally a risky event. Therefore, I have taken the following steps to minimize the negative impact of temperature changes. The daily watering rate was divided into several parts in small doses, which made it possible to get away from the waterlogging of the soil around the plant. Watering was started at an air temperature in the greenhouse of +18. Stopped 3 hours before sunset. On average, there were 5 - 7 irrigations per day. As well as when growing seedlings, all waterings were carried out with combined fertilizers. The concentration of the nutrient solution varied depending on the weather conditions: in sunny weather, they tried not to exceed 2.2 EU, in cloudy weather they raised it to 2.8. The pH was also adjusted from 6.5 to 5.8. The foliar top dressing system included root system stimulators + mineral fertilizers and microelements.
The first harvest of marketable greens was held on 10/06/2018.
Zelentsy are highly marketable. They hold the flower very well, the color is rich green. And this is subject to low temperatures and lack of illumination. On one plant, from 2 to 3 greens are poured at the same time. Collections were held daily. But even when skipped, greens do not outgrow and do not change shape.
In fruiting, this hybrid worked from 10/06/2018 - to - 11/25/2018.
The yield for this period was 5.5 kg per m2.
Considering all the factors that this hybrid suffered from the moment the seedlings were grown to the harvesting of the plants, it can be safely attributed to a real “special forces soldier”, who has nothing to do with heat or cold. I will choose this hybrid for growing it in the first turn! Seeing the potential of the Skipper F1 hybrid, its yield will be at least 15 kg per m2.
